Hello my name is Todd and my kids and I live in Virginia, and we are addicted to chickens. We have had chickens for quite some time and we have recently started fresh with a new coop and hens that are about 6 weeks old. We have americanos, White Rock, barnevelder, golden laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte, cuckoo maran, and speckled Sussex. I am excited about joining this form in hopes that I can learn new tricks and also share what I have learned along the way.
Here are a few pictures of my coop before I added the chickens and nesting box.

Hi Todd!

If you haven't already, you'll want to add some ventilation to your coop. Here's a good article on the importance of ventilation (taken from the Learning Center):

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I note you mention you are in Virginia but if you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

Hello again Todd, nice coop build, does need ventilation though. Will you be putting in any windows backed by hardware cloth to keep out predators Plus some vents just below the roof.
