Hello. We are new to raising chickens and have learned a lot from here already. This is our brooder that will have some chicks in it tomorrow when we go pick them up from the local Md / Pa hatchery.

Not 100% sure yet. I like RIR and EE, but Will see what they have and figure it out from there. Because of the size of our coop it will probably be 3-4 full size and 2-3 bantams.

banty eggs are good for small appetites. I think they figure(depending on banty breed) it takes 2-3 eggs to = one full sized egg.

We have 5 bantams and even though they go broody a lot and stop laying, I still sometimes get to share eggs with the neighbours, so you should be OK for that egg sammich
