Hello. We are new to raising chickens and have learned a lot from here already. This is our brooder that will have some chicks in it tomorrow when we go pick them up from the local Md / Pa hatchery.

G’Day from down under armyrec1 :frow Welcome!

We have 5 bantams and even though they go broody a lot and stop laying, I still sometimes get to share eggs with the neighbours, so you should be OK for that egg sammich ;)

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

In case you did not find them during your research, BYC has a Learning Centre and also Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Best wishes and good luck!
