Can’t remember if I introduced myself before, but a lot has changed so might as well do it again!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not new. I had chickens for a bit over a year back in 2014-2015. They went to live with my friends while we worked on moving. Well, 3 years later, we are finally moving and will be starting up with chickens again.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None at the moment. New city will allow up to 6 hens, however I will likely incubate chicks for my friend and only keep 6.
(3) What breeds do you have?
None, but hubs wants silver laced wyandottes and I’d like to hatch some of my friend’s Iowa Blues
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Don’t recall. Maybe a friend referred me or a google search?
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to knit/crochet, read, hike, bike, sew, and the list goes on.... I would like to get better at gardening now that I will have a property more accommodating to growing anything. Current house has giant shade trees cover the house and the whole yard.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a doula and stay at home parent. I have 2 lovely kids (3&1) and 2 cats, a dog, and fish.
