1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am not entirely new but still a beginner at taking care of chickens. I first got chickens about 2 years ago, and I just got my new chicks today.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 chickens now (young ones that I just picked up today) and have had 2 chickens previously.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I'm not sure exactly, which is one of the reasons I decided to make an account. I'm not exactly sure how to upload a picture, but the chickens I have now are white with reddish brown speckles going up towards their heads, and their heads are completely reddish brown - if that makes sense.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I was trying to identify my type of chickens and wandered upon this website.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to make miniature dollhouses! Kind of unusual, but SO much fun!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a pretty big family, but I'm the only one in my immediate family that loves animals with a passion. Right now I have 3 1/2 dogs (the half is a neighborhood dog that belongs to everybody), 24 fish, 1 leopard gecko, 1 cat, 2 chickens, and 1 (soon to be 2) Guinea pig! In my lifetime, I have had 20 dogs, 3 Guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 1 mouse, 4 chickens, 1 pig, 4 horses, and 2 cows. I am an aspiring veterinarian and work at an animal hospital. I just graduated high school and am going to college this August!
