I had a pet rooster when I was kid. Long story, he lived for a long time but I am sure that I did it all wrong.
A friend gifted his families 3 one year old RIR's to my husband and I a few weeks ago.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? came across the site looking for information on chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? reading, learning slowly how to garden, travel etc...
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married, I have a 27 year old daughter and a 9 year old grandson
