Yes, last week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5, hopefully one starts to crow in a few weeks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
It took a lot of thought, but I finally settled on buff orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I don't know yet, but so far baby chicks are more entertaining than tv.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We finally bought a house, so now all of my free time is spent trying to learn about homesteading. My eventual goal is to be at least 80% self sustainable.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home mom

I've spent hours researching chickens thus far, and this community has been the biggest source of information I've found.
