Just wanted to say hi to everyone and thank you for all the advice I’ve found in the group so far. I recently got my first hen, Louise, 6 months old, from a neighbor who has a small flock of laying hens. I live in the suburbs in the Central Valley of Ca, and in addition to Louise we have dogs and a tortoise. Glad to meet you all!

Thanks-happy to be here! I just have the one for now, I got her from her previous owner because she wasn’t getting along with the rest of her flock when they added a few new chickens.

I’d love to get her a friend once I’m sure she’s settled. Apparently in her previous flock she became a bit of a bully once they added two Americaunas. Wondering how to choose a friend for her, so if you have any advice I’d be appreciative.
