Hi Everyone! My name is Rose and I was so thankful to find this community online.

I am entering the new year with a hope to fulfill my dream of raising chickens. I am a (serious) beginner, and have been doing lots of research on where to start. I know someone in the town over who sells chicks (which I am thinking of buying them from) and just learning about the basics.

A little bit about me: I am 28 years old, and married to a wonderful man named Josh. He is a general contractor so I am always having him build me things that I find on Pinterest. Someone I look up to is Laura Ingalls (hence the user name) and I love simple, old fashioned living.
