Hello!
So, I've been lurking for a looong time here. I've decided to finally join! Some things about me:
1. I'm not new to chickens. I started chicken keeping 10 years ago but also took care of my family's chickens as a child all the time.
2. Currently, I have 8 chickens in all. (1 rooster, 7 hens)
3. I have:
1 Rhode Island red rooster named Thomas, 1 Ameraucana named Eglantine, 2 red stars named Mango and Chloe, 4 black stars named Nyra, Pellimore, Otulissa, and Kasumi.
4. My favorite aspects? 1. is... Breakfast of course
But, I also love just watching them free range and study their behavior. I've always been interested in animal actions and such. They are fascinating to watch. Quirky little characters too! It's always fun watching my little Eglantine run around. Her actions are adorable and honestly my favorite one to watch.
5. Other hobbies are defiantly writing, with art probably coming second. I also swim, do tennis, and martial arts. Hiking/playing with my 2 dogs are a favorite too!
6. Going back to my two dogs, I have one GSD girl named Luna, and a pitbull/labrador/great pyrenees mix who's basically just a hungry old man. I also have a couple rabbits and a giant pond of fish.
