nk you very much. My oldest collie is the momma hen to them. She is constantly wanting to clean them and will not let the cats near them. I’m hoping with the chickens being right by the house and that we are constantly switching dogs out to the run it will deter them. Our shepherd cross is a gaurs dog and lets us know right away if something is outside. And we also have motion sensor lights out there. Hopefully that will keep the night critters away. I really need to put motion lights out in the pasture coop but I’m afraid those dang minis would have to much fun sending us sos singnals all hours of the night. Lol.Beautiful collies.Welcome to Backyard Chickens. I don't think the need to protect from predators ever ends. There is always another opportunist who finds the way into a coop or run.
