Sorry it took so long to say hi. I don't know how to use online forums, and I had to find time to figure it out.
Anyway, my name is Christina. My husband and I have a family dairy farm in Ohio. We have 12 juvenile laying hens, and 2 adult layers. We decided to raise our own for fresh eggs of course. Lol
And to keep our neighbors and family supplied too hopefully.
I found this site in search of wisdom on the internet when I raised meat chickens last year. BYC seemed to be (to me) the most sensible and was like finding the goldmine of information. I am very much enjoying the experience and knowledge that everyone shares here.
We also have 4 Border Collies, 1 old retired Arabian horse, lot's of cat's (which are scared of the chickens, hahahaaa, that cracks me up!) and too many cows! We raise our own beef, pork, chicken & vegetable garden. Eggs are a natural next step.
Glad to be here, and a great big thank you to everyone here because this is where I have found answers to all of my chicken questions.
