Hello everyone! I have been turning to BYC and all the amazing information ya'll post here over the past two years. That was when my hubby and I began raising our own little flock of ladies. We have a variety of breeds such as sexlinks (black, red, and golden), australorps, orphintons, wyandotte (silver and golden laced), white leghorns, rainbows, and americanas. We have hand raised all 28 of them. We have 29 girls in total but one of them was a stray that was left behind by a neighbor when they moved so she joined our flock after her quarantine period. I couldn't just leave her as coyote food. Recently, my Mom gave us a Dutch Bantam rooster so we are now learning how to incubate. We also have raised turkeys and pigs which have been super fun and a HUGE learning experience. We enjoy gardening, fishing, and outdoorsy activities. It's fun. It's nice to "meet" everyone and can't wait to learn more!

Good Luck with your flock!

Hello and welcome to BYC. I hope that you enjoy your time here.

This is a useful link of “How to” BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3. I’d suggest including your location using the guide in the link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes

This is our coop and run. We have a brooding/raising section and a treatment section (the smaller coops). Our girls get to roam the pasture in the evenings when the hawks aren't out as much.
Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
28 is a nice size flock. Do you have any pictures you'd like to share?
