Hi I'm new to the website and also new to raising chickens, it started out with my father in law wanting a rooster so we got him 1, then my son came home with 3 little babies in which we got 2 roosters and 1 hen and I wasn't very interested in them then he brought home 8 more and still no interest them my husband brought home 8 older chickens and I'm thinking they were around 4 months old that's where I started taking interest and now I'm out there everyday and absolutely love my chickens but with no background at all being around chickens I have so many questions. Sorry for the long introduction

We have coyotes here close I lost 8 chickens before we closed in the top of the fencing. I have 4 boxes in there then another house for them to get in I'm really clueless about everything that's why I got on the forum

The best I can tell you hardware cloth where there is chicken wire you may loose one more find can find where they got in

Yes we found where they got in and it's been fixed so that nothing can get in again, I feed them can corn and scratch and they have really got big
