Started off with chickens a few months ago and will be putting in my first big batch of eggs into my 528 egg incubator. So far I have a few australorps, aseels, and golden misris. The latter two are native to where I live in Pakistan. I also have two turkeys and a tom that are possibly the most annoying in the flocks. So my main question would be, how can I introduce the 200 chicks at 1 month old to the main flock without them making my life hell? As of now the flock numbers around 20. So it's a pretty massive jump. Following with a few random thoughts, is 12 inches per chick is enough for the first 2 weeks of its life? And how does relative humidity affect the incubators humidity? Thanks for reading this and have a great day.:thumbsup

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

You won't be able to mix chicks in with adults until they are at least 3 months old. Chicks can't defend themselves, they can be crushed, you will lose a great many by mixing them too early. So you need to construct a separate area for chicks.

Good luck and welcome to our community! :)
