(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I started with a small backyard flock about a year ago so still learning and kinda new to it, but having a lot of fun so far
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We now have 5, 3 that are around 1-2 years old and 2 that are about 4 months
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Ameraucana, 2 French BCM, 1 Olive Egger, and 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (crossbeak)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fun to watch their personalities and teach kids about caring for animals and getting eggs of course.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, anything outdoors
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Wife, 2 Kids, 1 Dog, and a stray cat that adopted the chickens as her family
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been using it as a resource for information ever since I started with our first chicken last year.
