We just ordered some chicks last night and we are anxiously anticipating their arrival! We also have 2 dogs (Rocco and Dixie - hence the username!) that will be super eager to check out the new arrivals as well.
We ordered 6 Barred Rocks and 4 Buff Orpingtons from Cackle Hatchery.
As far as hobbies, we love hiking, music, watching TV, travelling, and reading. I'm a teacher (currently working remotely due to COVID) and he's an engineer (he's still at work because he's "essential."
We found BYC because his boss has chickens and said this was an excellent resource! We are new to chickens, but we've done a lot of research. That doesn't mean we won't have questions as we go, though!!
