Hello brand new to chickens. I am in the process of building and designing a coop and run. Looking to have 3-4 chickens for eggs/ pets. I’m so excited. Always loved chickens. What type does everyone recommend? I live in Red Lion Pa. thank you! I look forward to learning as much as I can before getting my first chickens.

Welcome to BYC! What are your reasons for wanting a flock? There are a lot of breeds with great personality and beautiful to look at, but not great egg layers. Then there are the egg layers! Lots to choose from there too!
