I copied these questions to make my introduction a little easier 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I got my first chicks on April 3rd from a farm and garden store.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 10 adorable little babies
(3) What breeds do you have?
3 Barred rock, 3 black australorp, 1 California white, and 3 that were marked as black sex link.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
It’s been a dream of mine to have chickens since I was a little girl. Since my chicks are only a couple weeks old at most, I can’t speak to what I enjoy about chickens just yet. I do however have 13 guinea fowl. I got them last year in May as a way to ease into poultry. I figured they were less upkeep and “easier”. I will find out soon enough if that was true. Haha
I do find them absolutely delightful. I love watching them and hearing their content chatterings. The fact that I haven’t seen a tick since free ranging them is a huge plus too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Too many to list. My main hobbies right now are fish keeping, photography, and gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family and I live on just over 9 acres. We have 3 dogs, 4 farm cats, 12 guinea fowl, 10 new baby chicks, a green cheek parrot, 3 turtles, and many fish. Hopefully in a couple weeks we will be adding turkeys too!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
It seems everytime I have a question this site is the first one to pop up on google. I’ve enjoyed ghost reading on and off for a while and figured I’d join now that we are getting more serious into poultry keeping. I look forward to learning all I can!
