I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I have close to no experience raising chickens so far, but I'm attempting to hatch a few eggs from a friend in a shabby homemade incubator. Four days into incubation and so far they are all developing nicely! Fingers crossed that everything will continue smoothly. It would be great to have some advice from people who have raised chickens before, like what kind of food and housing situation works best for them. Also looking for tips on what to expect at various stages of development and how to increase my hatch rate! I only have four eggs, so I want to do everything I can to make sure some of them hatch. I've been browsing this forum for a few days now and it seems like a lot of you are very experienced in keeping chickens, so I'm very excited to join the community!
