Hello!
I've had 6 ISA browns for a year now and this is my first adventure into chickens! Back in October while out of town at a friends house I watched chicks hatch in her incubator(lucky timing!) So now of course I begged my boyfriend for one for Christmas/birthday and to my surprise he played into my crazy fantasy! I got some fertile barred rock eggs and set it to work getting my first hatch at 8 out of 11 eggs! It's currently full with another 22 and I put the extra two eggs I had bought under my broody frizzle (again very fortunate timing that I had fertile eggs on hand) that I accidentally -it happens- purchased in February.
I've looked at this group many times as I needed help with questions about raising chickens and now decided to become a member as I will be needing advice on my broody and also help sexing the 4 chicks I kept from the last hatch ( I know it's supposed to be easy but I change my mind everytime I look at them)
Thanks for reading
