I have been reading a lot of the posts and learned a lot so I have decided to take the plunge and join in.
I live in the U.K. and currently have 1 hen and 3 bantams.
The hen is at least 13 years old. When she was not 1 a dog got into the run and killed/ injured several chickens we had at the time. It was very sad having to help some on their way. Emo (a black rock cross) had one breast torn off the bone and a damaged leg but seemed strong. So disinfectant and bandages were put to use and she moved into the shed at home. She healed but has always limped. For the past few years we think she has become blind, but seems happy.
Bantams are around 3 yo and are a Welsummer x Silkie, a light Sussex x Silkie and a silver pencilled Wyandotte.
I’m looking forward to meeting you
