I'm a student from the midwest and my family owns a flock of 12. We have had another before this, and I've been around chickens about five years total.
Everyone has a favorite, mine is a sweet Buff Brahma named Sue. Also have 2 Silkies, a Plymouth Rock, Sussex, Australorp, ISA brown, Orpington, EE, (silver-laced) Cochin, Buckeye, and Jersey Giant, so just a BIT of a variety. This forum has been helpful to me many times before and I'm excited to join.
