I have had chickens for a while, we raise layer's and meat birds. We just butchered 47 meatbirds (first time, we'll do a few hundred next summer) and 34 layers (Golden Comets, Road Island Reds, Buff Orphintons, Sliver Laced Polish, Isa Brown and, 3 guineas. I live in Nebraska, husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, soon to be 2 barn kittens, and lot's of birds.

Me and my family do 450 meat birds every year :lau
