(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
The Easter bunny dropped of 5 cornish cross babies and 2 Chinese Brown geese babies last year. We learned quickly that we had no idea what we were doing!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 13 adults of different breeds, and 6 hatchlings. We are currently incubating 8 barnyard mix eggs.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The way they make us all smile and how sweet natured they are!

We enjoy spending time together as a family and raising geese too!

My husband and I have been together 19 years and we have two daughters, an 8 year old and a 3 year old. We love animals of all kinds. We also have 2 Chinese Brown geese, a Doberman Pinscher and a tank full of tetras.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found this site researching how to care for my chickens and how to hatch new babies. I have known about the site for almost a year, but decided to join today as we just hatched a new set of babies, and started incubating 8 more. Growing family needs all the help and support we can get!
