My name is Justin. I have had backyard chickens for almost 4 years. I currently have 22 adult chickens, 7 adult ducks and 3 chicks. I have 1 White Leghorn, 1 Buff Orpington, 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Black-sex linked, 3 Barred Rocks, 5 Reds (3 Rhode Islands, 2 New Hampshire), 1 Bantam rooster Self Blue, 1 Sebright, 4 Sumatras, 2 White (Unknown), 3 Cuckoo Maran Chicks.
2 Cayuga Ducks, 1 Blue Swedish, 1 Black Swedish, 1 Black Crested, 1 Rouen, 1 Hybrid 300
Our favorite part is when our birds our at for recess and just picking through the yard it is very relaxing. Love just being in the outdoors, fishing is one of my favorite hobbies. We are a family of 5 with 4 dogs, 4 cats, a hamster, and a bearded dragon. I am a 20 year retired US Army veteran.
Found BYC when I first started raising chickens 4 years ago. I thought I had joined then but perhaps I had not verifiedeverything.
