New to this page. I am Paula. We started raising chickens earlier this year. I needed something to do with the pandemic. I hadn’t raised chickens since I was young with my grandmother. It’s more like a hobby and something to do since I am disabled. I have silkies, which are amazing birds. I’ve already been hatching them and selling them. I have Brahmas and Jersey Giants. Waiting fir them to be old enough to start laying and breeding. Also, we have lavender Orpington and Rhide Island Reds. We’ve sold some of our hens from the RIR’S and now fixing to sell all the roosters but 2 so we can raise babies from them when they start laying. We also just have a barnyard mix of stuff that we are fixing to sell, just to many. Only ones laying eggs are my silkies and they go broody to easy, my 2 hens just hatched babies so I’ve removed their nests so they can’t sit any more and hopefully soon they’ll start laying eggs again so I can start hatching them again. I’m still 1 and 2 months away from everybody starting to lay.
