Hi. My name is Robin. I've been stalking this site for over a year now.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first baby chicks in May 2020. WE were only going to get a total of 4, but by the end of the summer 2020 we had 10 living in the house.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 13, though we're still looking for the baby that disappeared last Thursday.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have Wyandottes (Columbian and Golden Laced), Silkies (White, Black, Buff), Barred Plymouth Rock, Orpingtons (Buff, Lavender), Mille Fleur D'Uccle, Easter Eggers, Snowy Easter Egger. (The missing baby is a White Crested Black Polish.)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are relaxing to watch, and fun.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Me: scrapbooking/cardmaking
Daughter: acting, Girl Scouts, sewing, singing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Daughter loves her chickens.
Son wants to eat them.
