Hello~ my name is Azy and I am currently working on growing my backyard farm. I have been breeding chickens for about 4 months and have owned chickens for 5 months. I absolutely adore them! I also own some ducks :3

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I would say I’m not very new but still learning. I had chickens since august 2021

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
About 16 if you include my chicks! Though I have about 6 adults

(3) What breeds do you have?
Ayam Cemani
Plymouth Barred rock
Brahma Bantam
Silkie
Easter Egger
Ect..

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Their personalities are all so different. I find it rewarding when you hatch a chick or get your first egg. I enjoy my chickens looking forward to seeing me. They get me up everyday

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am an artist! I also read play video games and care for my dog and cats.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my fiancé and sister-in-law. We have a Pomeranian and 3 cats. We also have a bunny. I am constantly hatching chicks too

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

(1) I have had chickens for about 5 years, I got my first 8 chickens in spring from a local feed store
