I have endless questions. Most of them pertain to genetics of existing and potential hybrids. Here's one of my questions :
I have a few F1 generation of CCLegbar x Delaware. A few pretty little hens resulted from that cross. They have uniform coloring and are crested. This cross yielded an appealing phenotype of cute little crested hens, and they lay really nice green eggs. I got to thinking...along with the help of the chicken calculator.....and was coming up with potential crosses for them. In theory...bred back to a SLW roo....they would produce sex links? Is that correct? Also .....I have a few Bielefelder roos. From what I can find....this cross with F1 would yield endless phenotypes... however, I was thinking there might be a possibility that crossing back to the Beil roo would bring back some of the autosexing qualities of the original CLL roo. ( Through selection of correctly colored chicks) I no longer have the ccl roo....so the Bielefelder roo would be the only other autosexed roo to cross back to.
Any thoughts?
