I am a cattle producer in southern Alabama. I grew up working in the extended family's commercial broiler business. Which is totally different than raising backyard chickens. I have just recently purchased some chicks to raise for eggs. I have been reading some threads on here, which seem informative, so I thought I would join.

We bought Rural King's version of Cinnamon Queen day old pullets. Rural King says the are red sex link females from RIR rooster and SLW hens. We'll see? They look exactly like the pullets labeled Welsummer in a separate bin of Rural King. I'm not very confident in the staff of big box stores. I'll post some pictures to get some opinions.
