hello

[wendigo_ranch]

Hi we are a group of friends trying to start a farm that we plan on naming wendigo ranch, my name is Saira I'll probably be the only one of us posting here. I found this site a few months ago while looking up info on frizzles and silkies. We currently have 5 chickens Cobalt a light brahma, Smaug a frizzled easter egger, Blackberry a silkied cochin, Sofie a lavender americana and Screams At Own Ass a paint silkie. We used to have ducks to and a few more chickens but had to get rid of them because of our neighbors, the ducks went to a family member. Our 5 girls are currently living indoors but we are hoping to be able to find a house with enough land to start a farm in the spring. Once we have the farm I want to try to make silkied versions of other breeds and possibly designing a breed for the farm. I grew up helping my grandmother breed and show persian/exotic cats so I'm sure it won't take me to long to figure out chicken color and trait genetics.
