Just saying hello! This is our second time with chickens. We started with 4 layers about 5 years ago, and over the course of a few years we were outsmarted by a raccoon, hawk or eagle, and we think a fox. We decided to take some time off and now, we’re enjoying a flock of 10. They’re 9 weeks old now. I’m not positive which breeds, but we believe we have 4 brown leghorns, 2 light brahmas, and 4 americaunas. We’re also not positive they’re all pullets either. I’ve my fingers crossed there are no more than 1 rooster, if any.

I discovered this forum when looking for information on cross beaks. We have one sweetheart we decided not to part with. I’ve learned so much from reading info here.

My husband and I work from home, enjoy taking care of our family, and teaching our children how to do things for themselves.
