Wonderful! We have pip here right this minute! Hope your chicks thrive, what breed are they?

We had an Easter egger, a Saphire gem, a Buff orpington, and a Bluebell. I candled my eggs again today and One for sure is growing. No telling which breed it is though.

I had three chickens and a rooster. Now, I have a rooster; His name is Heisenberg. I belive there is a coyote in my neighborhood. In any event, I have had to rebuild my chicken coop area. It's now surrounded by a tall, partially buried fence reinforced underneath with spikes and concrete. I'm currently incubating the last three eggs my girls laid in the hopes that they will hatch me another generation of my first chickens. Hard lesson learned; even within city limits, chickens need security from predators.

Oh I'm so sorry. Predators are the worse. Always bad news. I'm glad you learned and can outsmart them going forward, glad you didn't give up. I hope they all hatch as hens for you. Thanks for joining.

One egg I can't see the veins anymore. Does this necessarily mean it died?

I'm not very experienced with assessing candled eggs, unfortunately, so I will have to let someone else comment on that.

The second one is definitely developing, the first one may be, and the 3rd is not.
What day are they on?

The 1st 2 pics are fertile and developing, the 3rd pic is a dud!
