Hello all,

I am currently incubating 20 silkie eggs and will be picking up three chicks today. I have had Red Star in the past. However, I have always been drawn to silkies. I currently focus on ducks which have been great egg producers. This is another reason I chose an ornamental chicken.

I am a stay-at-home mom of three from California. Homesteading is one of my biggest hobbies but I also love photography and reading. I have been a lurker on this website for a few years. I decided to finally join because of the helpful information found here.
