Hello !

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I'm assuming by Buffs you actually Buff Orpingtons. Buff is just a color.
You can have all the same breed of the same color, the same breed with different colors, mixed breeds with similar colors or mixed breeds of different colors and sizes. :)

Hello! I am looking into getting chicks, I plan on getting them this week or next week as chicks, I plan on having 3, I want a buff, and I'm not sure for the other 2, however I read that you should get diffrent breeds. Any recommendations would be appreciated a lot ! Thank you !
Hello, welcome and congrats on your new chicks.

Chickens suitable for their environment do good. For example if you live in Florida you might want a minorca, a spanish bird. If you live on the edge of Michigan you'd probably want a swedish bird or something with more fluff?
