Hello from NE Michigan

I’ve owned chickens for 8 years now and our current flock has a total of 13 but some of the new members may have to move to a new home as they are roosters (I always lose with the straight run purchases lol - our location doesn’t allow any roosters)
I currently have Black Australorps, a buff Orpingtons, a black laced Wyandotte, a black sex link, Silkies, and golden Sebrights.
I enjoy the fact they can be both a pet and a useful animal (eggs and pest control)
beyond chickens I have 3 children under 7, I do photography, and work in the technology field (graphic design, database design, computer repair and custom builds, etc)
I found this community when I was trying to find how to help a sick chick
