I just officially joined after reading posts here for years. I have had backyard chickens for almost 15 years. I currently have only three - an Easter Egger, Blue-laced Wyandotte, and one other I can't remember right now. My chickens are pets, and living with me comes with a health plan and retirement plan, but I do appreciate a few eggs and some help in the garden.
