Hello, BYC! Longtime lurker, new member. I currently have a flock of 12 chickens of various breeds. They're still pullets, so we're not getting eggs just yet, but I'm still having a lot of fun.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've been around chickens in the past through my mom, but this is my first time raising them myself. I got my chickens in April of this year.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
I know, for a fact, Buff Brahmas, Buff Orpingtos and Easter Eggers.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
How each chicken has its own fun, unique personality.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love anything outdoors. Hiking, gardening, swimming.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have been married since 2006.I have a 21yo daughter. I'm a full-time caregiver to a disabled relative.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found BYC through Google. I've lurked for a few months, but decided to join in the fun. I'm looking forward to learning from you all.
