Hello!

Welcome. I agree with @sourland. You may be dealing with liver hemorrhagic disease. Does she happen to be a white egg layer?

Thanks for the info, but she was not a white egg layer. She was a red star, and she was a sweetie and an amazing layer.

I was just wondering do all your chickens have names?
Every single one of my chickens have names, except for most of the chicks that we hatched that we think are boys. Because we are going to eat them.
But the rest of my chickens have names! Carrots, Bunches, Sun, Claire, Rose, Kate, Isa, Nikki, Triss, Percy, Rusty, Ginger, April, Robin, Repecca, Sandy/Butter, Toula, Pepper. Then our chicks: Henry, Braums, Mazio, Costa Rica, Ziggy, Terriaki, Rosie, Marcy, Chip, Frankie, Phoebe, Mr. Frizzle, and Chili Pepper.
I might have missed some lol!

How do you tell them apart from each other?

How do you tell them apart from each other?
For me it’s easy! Almost every chicken is a different breed. Except for Triss and Nikki, who are both Light Brahmas. For some reason Triss didn’t get her feet feathers until adulthood, so Nikki has very fluffy feet. Then we have Sun and Claire, who are both black stars. Sun has always had a little more orange on her neck than Claire, and since she’s molting right now we put a zip tie on her foot. Then we have Rose and Kate, who are Golden Laced Wyandottes. Rose has always had more spots that Kate, and since she might be molting soon, I put a zip tie around her foot.
We have two Easter eggers but they are different colors. Rusty is more brown whereas April is more grey or even blue!
We had a red star and a Rhode Island Red, which my sister who never tell apart, but sadly the red star passed away recently.
