Hello everyone, here is my introduction.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Pretty new, first got chickens a couple months ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have one breed, white leghorns
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are surprisingly calming, it is nice to sit outside with them and work on my laptop or even just stand outside and watch them, they also add some life to the area
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Writing, Reading, Weight Lifting, MMA
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
The chickens are on my parents property, we have two dogs there, both big breeds, one with no prey drive and one with prey drive, the coop and run is inside their dog run to help ward off predators
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC searching for answers to questions about chickens on google, i've know about it for a few months since i got chickens and began researching, I did not realize there were so many people online that discuss chickens. I wanted to join because I have some questions regarding wintering them in a very cold climate (Manitoba)
