I am a New Member but have been a fan for several years now.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first 12 laying hens 3 years ago. We also raise 50 meat birds every summer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently I have 8 hens, 4 pullets, and one rooster
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 3 Easter Eggs, and 9 Barred Rock, Roo is a Barred Rock as well.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are just fun and full of surprises.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am typically homestead type; build and grow stuff
(6) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I have had chickens for 2 1/2 years now.
I have 26.
I have Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Silver and Blue Laced Wyandottes, Buffs, Easter Eggers, Australorps, And Black Stars.
My favorite aspect is having fun with my flock.
I ride horses, own a small business on Etsy, and have 3 sponsors, so that takes up a lot of time.
