hello and welcome!! sweet flock! We've been raising chickens for about 9 months now, still learning a lot but we love them so much.
We currently have 6 Easter Egger Hens who started laying in December and two Silkie Roos, one a Splash and the other Pure Black. We just added three Black Sex Linked Pullets and a little Straightrun Bantam.
The girls and their Roos are our little goofs, they have free range and get visits from the neighbour's duck, we just like getting to watch them play around and when they raptor run to us and follow us around.
We're excited to see our new four grow up and hope they become the Black Silkie's flock. Our Roos are super sweet to the girls and each other, so we're very proud of them. Our two dogs think they're part of the flock and the girls love running after our dachshund around the property.
We're also raising three goats, and sometimes take our 6-month bottle fed baby to visit his friends in town.
We're building up our garden and slowly getting our little farm we bought last July going.
We've always liked getting information from BYC's community and are happy to finally have joined it.
