Hello

I actually have not seen that movie... when I was 22 years old, I was attacked by an ostrich. 110 stitches and 44 staples in My head... it's a long story, but I was doing everything I was supposed to do. I was doing chores on my husband's uncle's farm... something I had done many times... helping out. 1 difference, my husband's uncle wasn't there with me this time... That ostrich saw his opportunity and almost killed me... so I was terrified of all big animals for a long time... but especially birds... I got through my fears a little at a time, but couldn't get over the fear of birds... even little birds scared the crap out of me ...so I read up on how to care for them, built a coop with my oldest son and husband, bought all the stuff and got some chicks...I was even scared of the babies...but I slowly got over it... I had to take care of them. I will never watch that movie , by the way... No way.
No wonder you developed a fear of birds! That must have been horrible. You're a brave soul to go through that and manage to conquer your fear of birds.

Holy cow! You're lucky you survived! I'm glad you are willing to work to overcome your trauma. Thank you for sharing.

Hi from Ogden, Utah. I've had chickens for 4 years now... and I still learn new things all the time from others. I have 10 chickens right now. 6 Rhode Island reds and 4 barred rock chickens. My sweet girls love being pet and held and my barred rock girls get jealous if you pet only one of them. They ALL want some love. I initially got chickens to get over my fear of birds... long story. ID SAY IT WORKED. lol. Thanks for letting me join this group!
Welcome. Yes, I would say it worked really well.
