Hi! We're two teachers living in North Carolina (originally from the Midwest). We have been chicken parents for three years now (since spring 2021). We have 16 chickens right now (we started with three but quickly learned about chicken math). 
We have Welsummers, white and brown leghorns, a buff Brahma, green queens, cream legbars, a white a Austra, Barnevelder, a Partridge Penedesenca, and a buff Chantecler, and one we adopted that we don't know for sure about. Being educators we have loved just learning about chickens- there's so much to learn!!!! And we ABSOLUTELY have loved their personalities! We didn't know that chickens were like other animals and had unique personalities. We love our girls! We also have dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, and fish - we're animal lovers!
