Figured id do my intro post the easy way .

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Fairly new, have had them for ABOUT 4 months now.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 6! 1 cockeral and 5 pullets!

(3) What breeds do you have?
Oh! I have 2 Jersey Giants (one is my cockeral, go figure the largest breed i have ), 2 Easter Eggers, and 2 Plymouth Barred Rocks!

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Thats a harder one. For me before I got my own i woeked for a lady who had some and i HATED it. Granted she had 4 roosters, 3 were complete jerks and she culled the 1 nice one, but now, i purposefully got some more "human friendly" breeds and they are getting ciddly as the grow, eggs are going to be an amazing bonus (original purpose) but these ladies will MELT in my arms and on my lap, stretch out and take a nice nap.so the chicken cuddles and how excited the get at 7 pm (snack and snuggle time), are probably my 2 fave parts of these birds

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hmm...i like camping, games and reading i guess.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 3 pit mix dogs, all hams and brats at one time i have also worked with dogs in 3 jobs (moved states) for 10 years, honestly i much prefer animals over most humans so a customer service job is sooo not for me. Not to say i dont enjoy humans, but i have worked customer service jobs and man did i hate it. Happy to listen to dogs yell at me all day tho
