I'm a new member from upstate NY. I used to raise chickens when my kids were small and haven't had chickens for many years. I decided to remedy that and now have 5 Rhode Island Reds. I picked them for their cold hardiness and because that is all I raised in the past. Things have really changed since I raised them and I'm always open to learning something new.

I'm retired. I have many interests: photography, chickens, gardening, banjo, quilting, herbs and herbal remedies mmm that's enough for now.

I've been lurking around the forum for a while and decided I should join.
