Hi all, I'm a SAH mom of four (2 girls, 2 boys age 1-7). We have a horse, cow, dog, 2 cats and16 chickens. I have 4 banty hens, 1 leghorn hen and 2 hens that were roaming around and joined the group that I'm not sure what they are. Also a RIR rooster and a rooster that was with one of the hens. One of the wild ones just hatched (March1) 7 chicks. 3 that she incubated herself and 4 chicks (2 rir, 2 barred rock) that I bought and added to her. She's a great mama. I've had chickens for 2 years, but had to completely replace my flock once after the dog decided she liked chickens (to eat). She took all of them in one night after a year of leaving them alone. Now I'm having an issue with a chick that I will post on the question section. Been looking at the site for awhile and getting lots of answers. Thanks everyone!
