Hey, everybody. My name's Winggedheart on here, though my real name is Journee.
I've owned chickens for several years; but have only recently gotten the crazy idea (for my very, very small budget,) to raise and breed bantams. I've hatched birds (all mutts' and bantam/standard mixes) before, and have owned bantams, though currently I only have three bantam roosters--two with eye problems from fighting with each other out in the woods.
So, I'm hoping to get some blue silkie chicks from a hatchery soon (probably in Feb), and probably some black frizzles, though I'm not real sure what all I'm going to get, (still got some time before shipments.)
Besides that, I'm the oldest (I'm fifteen) of seven kids, and own many animals besides chickens. Ducks, goats, dogs, cats, rats, rabbits (only one now, though, sadly,) bearded dragon lizard, (also just one,) and a few guineas. My dad has a flying squirrel, and we've owned other animals over time. Like a rescued gray squirrel, and rescued quail.
And so, I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been scanning this site for about a week now, absorbing all sorts of info. It's certainly a very nice forum, and there seems to be loads of good people on here.
