My advice is to just do your research before you get any chicks/chickens. Make sure you get the right breeds. BYC has a breed index, so if you don't know very much about the different varieties of chickens, then I would go there. You should also do a lot of coop research before buying any. BYC ALSO has a chicken coop index that you could search for the coop that would fit your budget and the amount of chickens you are looking to have. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
